For us, "home" is a quiet, uncrowded private campground, nestled among gigantic pines and firs at the base of a 400-foot-tall granite dome. We set up several spacious, gender-specific tents, which house four humans and their belongings comfortably. On our week-long rock camps, most of the climbing areas are within walking distance of our campsite, and sparkling Courtright Reservoir is only a five-minute jaunt away. On our different bouldering camps, the campgrounds are in areas equally as beautiful.

At the end of a long climbing day, we get to know the surrounding forest and its awesome views by playing a world-class course of Frisbee golf. Some of our students who have discovered this awesome sport at our camp have claimed it was their highlight of the week, in addition to the climbing, of course! After eating a scrumptious dinner, sharing stories while munching S'mores around the campfire sends you to bed with a smile on your face.

Leave No Trace

LNT principles are common knowledge among most folks nowadays. Still, it's not uncommon to see trash in our wilderness areas. At YB, we pride ourselves on practicing what we preach. We teach (and show) you that LNT must not be a one-time thing if wilderness is expected to stay wild. We also educate you about your surroundings, with hopes that this familiarity will spark a lasting, caring and conscious relationship with the outdoors.

You Are What You Eat

OK, we confess: We're food snobs. Not only do we want our food to taste good, but we also make sure that every meal is healthy. We include fresh veggies with all of our dinners. Lunches are hearty, overflowing with delicious sandwiches and tons of tasty snacks and fresh fruit. Our breakfasts, the all-important meal, are simple yet yummy. Did someone mention dessert? We definitely have our weaknesses, but we like to indulge, in, uh, moderation. Please let us know if you have a special diet.
